We dream of being a biblical community
of Small Groups...
- We see a vibrant, reproductive network of small groups flourishing—where leaders are purposefully and systematically trained, coached and apprenticed, groups are flexibly organized, curriculum is practical and biblical, and members are outward-focused and multiplication-minded.
- We envision becoming a church where small groups are the primary mode of ministry and where people taste real, vital, Acts 2 biblical community.
- We dream of being a church where nobody stands alone—where we each come to know and be known, love and be loved, admonish and be admonished, serve and be served, celebrate and be celebrated.
core values
Who We Are (Identity) & Why We Do What We Do (Behavior)
- Truth-Meets-Life
We value not so much marking our Bibles as having our Bibles mark us. Our Spirit-driven desire is to interact over Scripture not to merely transfer information but to inspire transformation (James 1:22, 2 Timothy 3:16)
- Togetherness (Community)
We value actually being the Church and believe that together we will experience again the reality of an Acts 2 biblical community where life-to-the-full relationships flourish as the Kingdom of God is established with power (Acts 2:42-47)
- Transformation (Life-change)
We believe that individual, communal, and even global transformation occurs as---by the power of the Holy Spirit---we recognize our brokenness, accept God's healing life poured into us, and commit to taking that message of faith, hope, and love to a broken world (2 Corinthians 3:18, 4:7, 5:17; Romans 12:1-2)
- Compassion (love-in-action)
We believe, as the Body and the continued incarnation of Christ, that following Christ always results in "love-in-action" or going to and being with those in need and outwardly expressing to them our deep, inward love for God and people (1 Corinthians 12:7a: Mark 6:34, 12:30-31; Luke 6:36, 7:13)
- Outreach
We believe that since we are "blessed to be a blessing" we should be aware of and move toward others who need Christ and invite them to experience real community in Him (John 17:18, 20:21). The (super)natural result of this focus is growth and multiplication of our groups (Acts 2:42-47)
- Christ-centered
We believe that experiencing Christ, being conformed to His image, and pointing others to Him happens best in community (Acts 4:13; Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 3:20-21; Philippians 3:10; Colossians 1:29; 1 Peter 4:11)
- Prayer
We value living in constant conversation with God and see lifestyle prayer as a holy dialogue that transforms us (Philippians 4:6-7; 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
